Dealing & Settlements Officer Location : Johannesburg (Hybrid) – 12 Months Fixed Term Contract.

You'll be based in the Johannesburg office for a minimum of three days a week, with the flexibility to work from home some of your working week.

About this role

A fantastic opportunity within the Computershare Registry division responsible for execution of transactions in accordance with set procedures and regulatory requirements and the execution of client requests, settlements and queries.

Responsibilities

Timely settlement and execution of transactions in accordance with set procedures and regulatory requirements.

Timely settlement and execution of client requests, settlements and queries in accordance with set procedures.

Accurately capture instructions timeously.

Accurate record keeping in a safe and secure manner.

What you bring to the role

You will bring hands-on settlements experience, backed by good financial market knowledge and a keen eye for detail.

An understanding of Strate and CSDP environments, accuracy, and timely execution of transactions.

A commitment to regulatory compliance and secure record-keeping to support operational excellence.

Key Skills & Qualifications
  • Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
  • Diploma / Degree in Finance and Investment or equivalent / currently studying towards (advantageous).
  • Strate exams (if not, should be willing to obtain this qualification).
  • Experience in settlements (~2 years).
  • Knowledge of the dealing desk (advantage).
  • Knowledge of Strate.
  • Corporate action knowledge (advantage).
  • Financial market knowledge (advantage).
  • Knowledge and understanding of the CSDP Department environment.
  • MS Office proficiency.
  • Scrip knowledge (advantage).
  • Fortress knowledge (advantage).
