A leading logistics company in Gauteng seeks a Senior Manager for Warehouse and Inventory Management. The position offers a competitive package of R1 million to R1.1 million CTC per annum.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all quality audits are passed and that facilities are maintained.
• Achieve customer contracted service levels and build market relationships.
• Deliver budgets that meet specified mandates and mitigate financial losses.
• Address operational risks promptly and lead the food safety team.
• Conduct regular performance appraisals and manage HR-related tasks.

Job description

Duties & Responsibilities

Warehouse, Inventory, Transport and Human Capital Management:

• Ensures all quality audits are passed;
• Improves operational KPI’s;
• Ensures DC facilities and equipment are maintained and in good working order;
• Inventory Management;
• Human Capital Management.

Customer Service:

• Achieve customer contracted service levels;
• Build and maintain sound relationships with the market;

Costs and Budgeting:

• Achieve budgeted cost;
• Delivers budgets that meet specified mandate;

Risk:

• Operational risks are timeously addressed and mitigated;
• Mitigate financial loss;
• To carry sound knowledge of the FSSC 22000 standards;

Lead the food safety Team; Accountable for all internal and external audits.

People Management:

• Continuous training and development;
• Ensure that all staff maintains DQSP certification.
• Liaising with the HR department to understand all the necessary aspects and needs of HR development;
• Liaising with HR regarding overtime and absenteeism, motivating staff, recruiting staff, training, etc.;
• Conduct regular performance appraisals;

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Grade 12;
• Relevant Tertiary Degree in Business or Supply Chain;
• 8 years experience within a cold storage environment - with 5 years senior management;
• Food safety experience.

Package & Remuneration
