Job summary

A leading insurance company is looking for a motivated individual for a call center position in Johannesburg. You will identify sales opportunities, handle customer inquiries, and perform administrative tasks. Candidates should have at least 1 year of sales experience and Life product knowledge. This role requires strong communication skills in English and Afrikaners and the ability to work under pressure. Qualifications

  • At least 1 year sales experience, preferably in an outbound telesales environment.
  • Minimum 1 year Life product knowledge, Discovery Life Knowledge is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying sales opportunities.
  • Answering inbound calls and making required outbound calls.
  • Co-ordination of own administration.
  • Maintaining accurate details and statistics of all queries.
  • Communication to members telephonically via fax and email.
  • Attending to general administration.
  • Achieve quality target.
  • Adhering to service level agreements.

Job Description

Key purpose

This position is based in the Discovery Connect Sales call centre, and reports to the sales team leader. The successful individual will be required to conduct Discovery Life telesales.

The successful individual will be required to perform on, but not limited to the following key outputs:
