Join our clients' dynamic IT team as a Database Administrator, where you’ll play a key role in ensuring the availability, performance, and security of the SQL Server environments. You’ll work alongside a skilled team to design, maintain, and optimize critical databases that power the day-to-day operations. Responsibilities
- Support, maintain, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases across production, staging, and development environments.
- Assist with database architecture design, documentation, and implementation to support enterprise applications.
- Create, test, and deploy database schemas, tables, procedures, views, and functions.
- Standardize SQL Server installation and configuration across the organization.
- Develop database utilities and automate reporting processes.
- Monitor system performance and ensure capacity planning, backup, and disaster recovery readiness.
- Coordinate and perform database backups, restorations, and recovery testing.
- Implement and maintain database security, encryption, and compliance with company standards.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure database design aligns with application needs and performance goals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues efficiently while maintaining system stability.
- Stay current with SQL Server technologies, evaluating and recommending improvements or upgrades.
- Support end-users and internal teams with technical assistance, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Maintain detailed documentation of database environments, configurations, and processes.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 Years experience working with SQL server.
- Strong understanding of Database Concepts and Principles.
- Understanding of project management principles.
- Bachelors in Business Administration/Computer Science or related.
- Experience working with relational database systems such as MS SQL 2019, and Client Server-Based IT Systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office applications focusing on Database and Spreadsheet applications.
- Understanding of Freight Forwarding and the Logistics industry is advantageous.
