Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in data science or a related analytical role.
• Proficiency in Python or R and libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch.
• Strong experience with SQL and database management.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, Seaborn).
• Familiarity with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop) is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Must be able to work effectively from Mahikeng, North West or be willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and preprocess large datasets from various sources.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
• Develop, implement, and validate predictive models using machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, classification, clustering).
• Design and conduct A/B tests and other experiments to evaluate model performance and business impact.
• Build data visualizations and dashboards to effectively communicate complex findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, marketing) to understand business needs and translate them into data science solutions.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
• Develop and maintain documentation for data models, algorithms, and processes.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains in data analysis workflows.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
