Job summary

Jellyfish is seeking a data scientist to lead analytics within the Investment Analytics practice. You will build predictive models, analyze media data, and guide experiments to improve paid media performance for clients.

You will collaborate across teams, document processes, and promote data-driven insights, with flexible remote options and emphasis on skill growth. University degrees are de‑emphasised in favour of demonstrated ability.

Qualifications

• Programming proficiency in Python and SQL.
• 3-5 years of experience in a data role.
• Proficiency in visualising data using Tableau, Looker, Matplotlib, or equivalents.
• Knowledge of the marketing ecosystem and measurement framework, including paid display, search, social, video, organic, web, and app.
• Experience analysing media and web data, such as Amazon Marketing Cloud, Google ADH, Campaign Manager, Meta, and Google Analytics.
• Familiarity with media measurement solutions, such as media mix modelling, incrementality, and attribution models.
• You seek and implement solutions to improve and automate processes.
• An understanding of machine learning concepts is great—hands‑on experience is a bonus.
• A collaborative mindset—you value diverse perspectives, work well in teams, and are motivated by shared goals.
• Problem‑solving skills—when faced with challenges, you work with others to explore options and identify practical solutions

Responsibilities

• Analyse data to discover hidden trends; deliver insights and analysis with clear applicable recommendations.
• Dedicate time to explaining and promoting the use of data science methodologies and testing approaches to enhance campaign performance.
• Develop and implement predictive models to improve media performance and outcomes.
• Work with platform partners to grow techniques for Incrementality Testing and Data Clean Rooms using open-source and in-house code.
• Document analytics projects to ensure replicability and scalability across the organisation.
