Edge Executive Search Group is hiring a mid-level Data Scientist for roles in Bryanston, Centurion or Gqeberha. The role blends data science, machine learning, data engineering and product development to create scalable analytical solutions with measurable business value.

You will design and optimize data architectures, build robust data pipelines, deploy ML models and work with clients to translate business challenges into practical technical solutions. Retail analytics exposure is advantageous.

Qualificações

• Three years in data science, analytics engineering or ML engineering.
• Very high proficiency in SQL, Python and Power BI.
• Experience designing data solutions and building robust data pipelines.
• Experience deploying ML models or analytics solutions in production.
• Strong understanding of statistical concepts and predictive modelling.
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes and data architecture.
• Ability to integrate multiple data sources and design scalable workflows.
• Hands-on, solutions-driven mindset with continuous learning.

Responsabilidades

• Design and improve data architectures that support analytics and scalable product delivery.
• Build, optimise and maintain data pipelines from multiple sources.
• Develop, deploy, monitor and maintain ML models in production environments.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with product, engineering and business teams in Agile environments.
• Share knowledge via coaching, discussions and presentations.
• Manage priorities, estimate work and deliver high-quality outputs on time.
