Placements24 is hiring a Data Scientist in Nelspruit to leverage AI and predictive analytics on large datasets. You will build and deploy predictive models, design experiments, and translate data insights into business decisions.

Collaboration across departments and presenting findings to diverse audiences are key parts of the role. The ideal candidate has advanced degrees in a quantitative field, strong Python/R skills, experience with ML and data visualization, and comfort with cloud

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• Proven experience as a Data Scientist with a focus on AI and predictive modeling.
• Proficiency in Python or R and data manipulation libraries (Pandas, NumPy).
• Strong knowledge of ML algorithms including regression, classification, clustering, and deep learning.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Matplotlib, Seaborn, Tableau).
• Familiarity with SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
