Job summary

Old Mutual South Africa is seeking a Data Analyst to support data driven decision making by analysing, interpreting, and reporting on data from multiple sources. You will work with business stakeholders to understand information needs, produce meaningful insights, and develop reporting solutions that improve customer outcomes and operational efficiency.

The role involves data collection and preparation, governance, and delivering dashboards using Power BI and SQL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level qualification in data analytics or related field.
• 1–2 years experience in a Data Analyst, Reporting Analyst or BI role.
• Experience with Power BI and SQL for data extraction and analysis.
• Exposure to Python, R or other analytical tools would be advantageous.
• Experience in banking/financial services is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Analyse data from multiple sources to identify trends and opportunities.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, reports and scorecards.
• Collect, clean, validate and prepare data for analysis and reporting.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and outputs.
• Support measurement frameworks and KPI development.
• Monitor performance metrics and highlight significant changes.
• Follow data governance, privacy and security standards.
• Communicate analytical findings to stakeholders clearly.
