Job summary

Elite Search is seeking a Data Insights Analyst in Centurion to design, optimize, and manage database solutions. You will work with developers to integrate databases with business applications, ensure data quality, and produce reports using SSRS and Power BI.

The role requires a strong foundation in SQL and data analysis, with attention to accuracy and a collaborative mindset. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Centurion, Gauteng.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Math or related field.
• Basic SQL and relational database knowledge.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Willingness to learn quickly from senior team members.
• Exposure to SSRS and Power BI beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
• Assist with the design and maintenance of database schemas, tables, indexes, and relationships.
• Work closely with software developers to integrate databases with business applications.
• Monitor database performance and assist in identifying and resolving performance issues.
• Support data quality and integrity initiatives through validation and cleansing processes.
• Perform routine database administration tasks, including backups, restores, and data migrations.
• Build and maintain reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Develop, enhance, and support Power BI data models and reporting solutions.
• Ensure database security and compliance with data protection standards and best practices.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for databases, processes, and configurations.
• Stay up to date with emerging database technologies, tools, and industry trends.

Minimum Requirements
