A leading analytics company in South Africa is seeking a Reporting Analyst to develop relationships with key stakeholders and propose solutions meeting their needs. The ideal candidate will possess a degree or equivalent experience, have at least 3 years of IT experience, and proficiency in Power BI and other data visualization tools. This full-time role is remote within South Africa. Strong communication and critical thinking skills are essential.

The focus of this role is developing relationships with key stakeholders, understanding and analysing their concerns and collaborating with those stakeholders to propose solutions that meet the underlying needs within the technical, architectural and financial constraints of the Business Intelligence team.
Degree level or equivalent business experience
At least 3 years total information technology experience
At least 3 years of experience using data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, CRM Analytics)
Passion for data analytics
Intermediate knowledge of data warehouse technologies, SQL, Alteryx, Excel, Tableau, Power BI
Intermediate experience in designing and developing dashboards / MIS / reports
Intermediate experience in integrating dashboards with databases
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Testing experience required
Modern development practices such as Agile, source control, coding standards
Ability to plan, organise and manoeuvre obstacles to deliver results
Critical thinking skills to identify root cause and permanent resolution
Fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to communicate at all levels, including senior management
Excellent documentation skills
Manages time, responsibilities and multiple priorities effectively
Passion for quality excellence, methodical, thorough and diligent
Initiative-taker who can work on a team or with minimal supervision
Highly organised with strong diligence
Coaching and mentoring skills
Firsthand experience with Power BI is a must
Intermediate experience in designing and developing dashboards / MIS / reports
Intermediate experience in integrating dashboards with databases
Work with members of the business to develop reporting that describes the key metrics for TransUnion, progress against TU strategy and product performance
Ensure a single version of the truth for all metrics and key performance indicators used across TransUnion
Manage the future development and exploitation of the existing reporting suite
Continuously optimise reports, processes and procedures for scale and efficiency
Analyse data trends and turn complex data into actionable insights and reports
Proactively identify visualisation needs and partner with data engineering to ensure implementation
Consistently refine our data visualisation practices, giving users the best experience possible
Feed requirements to the Business Intelligence development team so that the data warehouse contains the data needed to support the business
Develop reports and dashboards that reduce the need for manual reporting and automate key functions
Utilise the data warehouse to bring data-driven insight into TU decision making
Present regular updates on key organisational metrics and KPIs
Participate in quality assurance to ensure products are fit for purpose
Help migrate users' home-grown visualisation applications to enterprise standard
Adhere to department procedures and practices, including coding standards, build processes, source control and Agile development process

The Global Capability Centre Africa requires you to reside in a home that is fibre‑ready, with space to work comfortably and confidentially on a day‑to‑day basis for the purpose of your proposed employment.
You can be based anywhere in South Africa that has fibre but will not be able to work in a location outside of South Africa.
A Minimum of an Mb fibre line is required; if successful you may need to upgrade your line or install fibre to work effectively.
