Job summary

Cloud23 in Johannesburg is hiring a data engineering professional to build and operate enterprise data pipelines that feed dashboards and reports.

You will design batch and streaming pipelines, model data for traceable definitions, and ensure data quality, lineage and governance across Snowflake, AWS and Tableau, while respecting data protection constraints.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL and at least one programming language used seriously for data work.
• Experience building pipelines that run unattended and are debugged when they do not.
• Understanding of data modelling, warehousing and the cost of getting it wrong.
• Exposure to cloud data platforms; AWS and Snowflake are an advantage.
• Care about correctness over cleverness.
