Job Title: Data Centre Operator

Job Summary:

Data Centre operators are responsible for maintaining system Data and client profile details. Changing alarm profile configuration ensuring optimal performance in alarm monitoring requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
Onboarding of New Clients:
  • Client Information Collection: Gather necessary details including contact information, security requirements, and location specifics. Perform data vetting on all received data from sales representatives and technicians.
  • System Setup: Configure client‑specific systems and software, ensuring integration with existing security infrastructure. Configuration of alarm systems to adhere to client specific monitoring requirements.
  • Testing: Conduct thorough testing to ensure all systems are functioning correctly.
Change Requests:
  • Request Analysis: Assess the impact and feasibility of the requested changes.
  • Implementation Planning: Develop a plan for implementing changes, including timelines and resource allocation.
  • Execution: Make the necessary changes on the specific monitoring platforms ensuring minimal disruption to services.
  • Validation: Verify that the changes have been implemented correctly and that the system is working as expected.
Open and Closing Changes:
  • Schedule Updates: Adjust schedules for opening and closing times based on client requirements. Mitigate overactive missed closing and illegal opening events received due to incorrectly verified office hours.
  • Access Control and Remote Support
  • Modify access control settings to align with new schedules.
  • Modify user access remotely
  • Provide remote support to technicians and users requiring changes on alarm systems.
  • Modify access rights for new keyholders and revoke access for former keyholders.
Testing:
  • Ensure all equipment is working through thorough test process with technician on site.
  • Provide full report on outcome to the client and technician.
  • Identify and report faults encountered during test process.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Grade 12
  • Grade C PSIRA (SOB) registered and accredited
  • Own reliable transport.
  • Your current warnings and Absenteeism will be checked before you can be considered as candidate.
