Data Analyst - Sales

Location : Midrand

Salary : R22 000 – R30 000CTC (inclusive of Medical Aid and Pension Fund)

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12
• Minimum 2 years experience working experience as a Data Analyst
• Strong Excel skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of Syspro and ODBC Reporting is advantageous.
• Ability to approach problems logically and make informed decisions based on the data
• Ability to work well in a pressurised environment.
• Ability to compile concise results through analytical thinking and personal initiatives to achieve.

Duties

• Extracting, analysing, formatting and presenting data used for various KPI Reports which are sent to some of our biggest customers on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Liaising with various internal departments to gather relevant data from safety reports, investigations, financial reviews, etc, to add to KPI Reports and management reports;
• Using statistical tools to interpret data sets, paying particular attention to trends and patterns that could be valuable for diagnostic and predictive analytics efforts.
• Preparing reports for the team that effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data.
• Communicating and liaising with various branches and respective Key Account Managers to ensure adequate data has been captured correctly and timeously.
• Acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databases.
• Price analysis and comparison with historical data on a monthly, as well as on an “as required basis”.
• Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
• Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
• Data Cleaning and Preparation, removing errors, identifying outliers, and transforming data into a format that can be analysed.
• Assisting the contracts and supply chain departments with a system clean-up to generate more clear reports;
• Working on automating existing reports for more efficient processing;
• Assisting contract department with contract work overflow including sourcing and costing of items for large RFQs and Tenders;
• Market research for new large-scale opportunities.
