Job summary

Communicate Recruitment is seeking a Data Analyst in Johannesburg to turn data into business insight. You'll collect, analyse and report on data from multiple sources, build dashboards, and support decision-making with timely insights.

You'll work with SQL, Python and AWS, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver value and communicate findings clearly. A quantitative degree and 1-4 years' experience are preferred, with a passion for analytics and problem solving.

Qualifications

• Degree in a quantitative field such as Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, or similar.
• 1-4 years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of numerical aptitude.
• Experience with SQL, Python, SAS; AWS experience is advantageous.

What We're Looking For

• Ability to analyse, model, and interpret large datasets.
• Strong report writing and communication skills.
• Experience working within complex IT environments.
• Understanding of financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management principles.
• Strong investigative and research capabilities.
• Exposure to project management methodologies.
• Experience within retail systems and ERP environments is advantageous.
