Job summary

e-Merge IT Recruitment seeks a mid‑level Data and AI Agent Analyst to transform complex data into actionable insights, build dashboards, and develop AI agents and automated workflows. You will integrate AI with APIs and internal systems, and collaborate with business/tech teams to deliver practical data and automation solutions.

The role combines data analytics, BI reporting, AI agent development, and automation, with a Hybrid Cape Town base and up to R1M CTC negotiable based on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a data-related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Data Analyst/BI role.
• Hands-on experience with AI agents, LLMs, or automation.
• Strong SQL proficiency, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Strong Python skills for data cleaning, analysis, automation, and AI solutions.
• Knowledge of LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, and AI agent frameworks.

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Data Analyst, BI Analyst, Business Intelligence, or similar data‑focused role.
• Hands‑on experience building or working closely with AI agents, LLM applications, or automation solutions.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Strong proficiency in Python for data cleaning, analysis, automation, and AI solutions.
