Cybersecurity Officer - Gauteng, Johannesburg

The Cybersecurity Officer will be responsible for developing and executing a tailored IT Security Strategy for each business unit, performing maturity assessments against the client's Framework, and identifying key cyber risks. The role involves collaborating with IT Managers across the division, providing technical and strategic guidance, overseeing security operations, incident response, and awareness initiatives.

Key Requirements:

• 5-8 years' experience in information security or cybersecurity roles
• Strong skills in patch and vulnerability management
• Experience with security technologies, architecture, and risk management
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 27001, NIST, and relevant IT governance or legislation
• Proficient in incident response, network, endpoint, and cloud security
• Ability to develop and implement security strategies aligned to group frameworks
• Experience with audit processes, including ITGCs and privileged access reviews
• Skilled in monitoring, reporting, and security awareness initiatives
• Strong communication, collaboration, and analytical skills
• Familiarity with tools such as SQL, Python, Power BI, or QlikView for reporting and analysis
