Cybersecurity Sales Specialist

This role focuses on advocating for clients while improving the buyer experience.
Main Purpose of Position
Act as a client advocate focused on improving the buyer's experience.
Responsibilities
- Drive Gross Profit targets through resellers.
- Sell First Distribution's product portfolio within existing resellers.
- Recruit new resellers.
- Demonstrate product knowledge and brand programs across the portfolio.
- Conduct business review sessions with brand managers.
- Attend bi-weekly sales reviews with the line manager.
- Plan targeted partner development.
- Lead sales strategy and overview sessions with resellers.
- On-board accounts: re-operational, sales, technical processes.
- Build and manage effective relationships with resellers.
- Ensure execution of the aligned business plan with line manager and brand managers.
- Show sales growth and pipeline coverage.
- Identify and qualify new deals and partners.
- Report opportunity details and deal progression using CRM.
- Ensure sales targets, profit margins, and brand rebates are achieved.
- Follow call plans, weekly activities, meeting minutes, sales reports, and forecasts.
- Plan strategy and assist clients with products to meet their requirements.
- Maintain updated product knowledge.
- Communicate with clients to understand needs and explain product value.
- Forecast and track key account metrics.
- Monitor and analyze customer usage.
- Maintain balanced brand performance.
- Engage with resellers and brand managers on marketing events and initiatives.
- Achieve the NW BU Trusted Advisor position in reseller accounts.
- Provide newsletters, pricing, and promotional offers to customers.
- Record detailed account information.
- Develop a strategic account plan for each allocated account.
- Understand role players, budgets, purchasing, and competition.
- Facilitate and resolve queries and escalations.
Requirements
- Matric certificate.
- IT Diploma (advantageous).
- Minimum 2–3 years experience as a Cybersecurity Sales Specialist or Internal Account Management.
- Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and advanced MS Excel.
- Experience in the IT distribution industry and cybersecurity sales.
