Overview
A Southern African retail solutions company is looking for customer service professionals who are interested in being trained as Baristas based in Gauteng and Cape Town.
Responsibilities
- Actively engage and approach customers to promote and sell our coffee and products
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and beverages (training provided)
- Upsell and promote our products to drive sales and grow store performance
- Handle food items safely and hygienically (including light food preparation)
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in line with food safety standards
- Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and POS systems
- Monitor stock levels, restock as needed, and report shortages
- Follow opening, closing and cash-up procedures accurately
- Take initiative in creating a welcoming and high-energy environment
Requirements
- Sales personality confident, proactive and not afraid to approach customers
- Energetic, positive and resilient with the ability to handle rejection
- Excellent English communication skills
- Well-groomed professional appearance
- Previous retail or food service experience is advantageous but not essential
- Able to work shifts weekends and public holidays as required
- Matric qualification is essential
