Customer Service & Finance Associate

Location: Remote (South Africa)
Hours: 7:00 or 8:00 AM – 4:00 or 5:00 PM Central Time (U.S.)
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Employment: Full-time

Salary: R30K – R40K CTC p.m. (depending on experience)

Our client is an appliance services company in Texas (USA) with additional commercial and installation divisions serving high‑end residential and business clients. We are looking for a skilled and motivated Customer Service & Finance Associate based in South Africa to support both our operations and accounting functions. This individual will play a vital role in bridging customer communications, finance coordination, and business performance tracking across multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Coordination
  • Answer customer phone calls, emails, and text messages promptly and professionally
  • Set up and manage new customer accounts, ensuring accurate billing information and service history
  • Serve as a dedicated point of contact for select high-priority customers and projects
  • Coordinate service schedules and follow-up communications with technicians, customers, and warranty partners
Finance & Accounting Support
  • Manage accounts receivable: issue invoices, process payments, track balances, and follow up on overdue accounts
  • File warranty and manufacturer claims, ensuring proper documentation and timely reimbursement
  • Assist with payroll preparation, ensuring hours and bonuses are accurately captured and submitted
  • Help design and administer payment plans for customers or vendors
  • Collaborate with accounting to ensure reconciliations, adjustments, and reporting are current and accurate
Data, Reporting & Business Support
  • Build and distribute daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports for various departments (service, parts, installations, etc.)
  • Maintain dashboards and scorecards to monitor technician and branch performance
  • Assist in creating and updating KPI targets across departments
  • Support internal process improvement initiatives and special projects as assigned
Qualifications
  • Experience / education in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in customer service, finance, or administrative roles
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and business reporting tools
  • High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience with QuickBooks, ServiceDesk, or similar CRM/accounting systems a plus
Work Environment & Expectations
  • Full-time, remote position based in South Africa
  • Must be available and responsive during U.S. Central Time business hours (7 AM – 4 PM or 8 AM – 5 PM)
  • Must be reachable by phone and online throughout the workday
