CULTURAL ASSISTANT

We are currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Cultural Assistant to join our dynamic Cultural Department and assist in the successful implementation of our Cultural Programme across various art forms.

Responsibilities:

  • Report to the Preparatory and College Directors of Culture.
  • Support the execution of an engaging Academic and Co-Curricular Cultural Programme throughout the Preparatory and College divisions.
  • Assist in the planning, organisation, and facilitation of a variety of activities, events, exhibitions, productions, and performances in Visual Arts, Dramatic Arts, Music, and Dance.
  • Manage administrative tasks related to the cultural programme, such as event preparation, scheduling, and resource coordination.
  • Accompany and support off‑site cultural excursions, ensuring the safety and participation of students.
  • Encourage and facilitate student involvement, skill development, creativity, and appreciation in cultural disciplines.
  • Provide instruction in the proper use of specialised cultural equipment and facilities.
  • Oversee the maintenance, storage, setup, and breakdown of equipment for classes, activities, performances, and events.
  • Monitor stock levels of consumables and non‑consumable resources, and receive, check, and store deliveries of new equipment and materials.
  • Keep inventory records and conduct regular stock checks.
  • Contribute to break duties and foster a positive presence within the school community.
  • Maintain discipline and address behaviour in accordance with the School’s Code of Conduct.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Diploma or equivalent qualification in a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated interest in cultural diversity, arts, and education.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with students, colleagues, and the wider school community.
  • Creativity, initiative, and a proactive approach to promoting cultural engagement.
  • Professionalism, reliability, and dedication to fostering cultural excellence within the school.
