Square 1 Recruitment in Randburg is seeking a Project Accountant for cross-border engineering projects on a contract basis (18-24 months). You will support the Project Manager and handle day-to-day financial and commercial administration across three international projects.

You will manage project expenditure, commitments and costs, process supplier invoices and payments, and ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting across multiple currencies.

Qualifications

• Relevant Accounting, Finance or Bookkeeping qualification.
• Experience in a Project Accountant, Project Finance, Project Costing or similar project-based financial role.
• Experience in engineering, EPC/EPCM, mining, mineral-processing, construction or project-house environments.

Responsabilités

• Work with Project Manager across three cross-border engineering projects.
• Manage project expenditure, commitments and costs against budgets.
• Process supplier invoices and payments.
• Coordinate and track purchasing/procurement and purchase orders.
• Raise and manage purchase orders and ensure expenditure is allocated to the correct project.
• Monitor outstanding orders, invoices and financial commitments.
• Maintain accurate project financial records and supporting documentation.
