Job description

CRM Specialist – Cape Town

We're looking for a hands‑on, detail‑obsessed CRM Specialist who's passionate about helping people across South Africa make better financial decisions. In this role, you'll be the engine of our CRM execution, turning ideas into high‑impact campaigns that reach millions of users across email, push, WhatsApp, and in‑product messaging. Working closely with our Senior CRM Manager (South Africa) and collaborating with global CRM, Creative Studio, and MarTech teams, you'll own delivery quality end‑to‑end: building, testing, and optimising campaigns that connect the right message with the right user at the right time.

If you love seeing your work go live, obsess over clean builds, and take pride in pixel‑perfect execution, you'll fit right in. At ClearScore, we're on a mission to help everyone achieve greater financial wellbeing.

From our Cape Town office, you'll join a curious, collaborative team that genuinely cares about learning, growth, and doing meaningful work together.

Responsibilities
  • Build, run, and optimise multi‑channel CRM campaigns (email, push, WhatsApp, in‑app) from setup to launch and reporting.
  • Use real‑time data to target the right users with personalised, timely messages across channels.
  • QA and test all content for rendering, functionality, and responsiveness (using tools such as Email on Acid).
  • Execute A/B tests, dynamic content, and modular templates to drive engagement and performance.
  • Track, analyse, and iterate, always chasing better open, click, and conversion rates.
  • Collaborate with designers and copywriters to craft communications that inform, inspire, and convert.
  • Support testing and implementation of new CRM features, automation, and personalisation capabilities.
Qualifications & Skills We’d Love You to Have
  • 2+ years of hands‑on experience in CRM or email marketing within a digital B2C business.
  • Experience using an enterprise‑level ESP such as Braze (preferred), Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Campaign, or Iterable.
  • Skilled in A/B testing, audience segmentation, and personalisation strategies.
  • Experience with QA tools (Litmus, Email on Acid, etc.).
  • Creative instinct with a strong sense for what resonates with customers.
  • Strong written communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to ensure all outbound messages are clear, accurate, and on‑brand for South African customers.
  • Working knowledge of HTML and responsive frameworks for email development (Liquid a plus).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and quality assurance while interpreting campaign data and using dashboards to drive optimisation.
  • Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets for reporting and tracking.
  • Understanding of data‑driven segmentation (queries, filters, and data troubleshooting) and experience using dynamic content or Liquid logic to personalise campaigns.
Mindset & Ways of Working
  • A get‑it‑done attitude, moving fast and delivering with precision.
  • Proactive, curious, and eager to learn new CRM tools and channels.
  • Meticulous about detail and quality.
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communicator thriving in cross‑functional teams.
  • Energised by testing, learning, and improving.
  • Passionate about making marketing communications useful, impactful, and human.
