Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and payments; match invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes; ensure VAT compliance.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve reconciling items; manage general ledger and sub-ledger accounts related to creditors.
• Respond to supplier, management, and internal queries; liaise with suppliers on information required; maintain orderly filing of invoices and supporting documents.
• Prepare and analyse financial reports and statutory submissions where applicable; participate in audits (internal & external) as required.
• Assist with month-end close, cash flow management, and treasury-related tasks as appropriate to the role.
• Support payroll, asset, and other related processes where duties align with creditor function; monitor compliance with HR policies and statutory deductions as relevant.

Qualifications and Skills

• Certificate/Diploma in Finance and/or BCom Accounting; 2–5 years of creditors or accounts payable experience typically required.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ERP systems; strong numerical ability and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of accounting practices including VAT; ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams; good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Automotive, retail, or manufacturing experience may be advantageous depending on the role; willingness to work overtime and travel occasionally where required.
