Job summary

A leading financial institution in South Africa is seeking a skilled individual to package and assess credit applications for large transaction deals. The ideal candidate will have a BCom Degree and 3 - 5 years of experience in credit application processes within banking. You will be responsible for delivering quality service and building strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring exceptional customer experience and efficient processes.

Job DescriptionThe purpose of this role is to package large transaction deals by assessing and structuring credit applications mitigating risk and facilitating sound working relationships with relevant stakeholdersAre you someone who can : Analyse credit information to estimate degree of risk in extending credit and financing to clients, ensuring that deals are structured appropriatelyProvide assistance to the Deal Maker in presenting to various Credit Committees by ensuring high quality credit applicationsDeliver exceptional Credit service that exceeds customers' expectations through proactive, innovative and appropriate solutionsDevelop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the economic environment, business risks and financial reports with the ability to relate such issues to specific business opportunities and the risk profile of individual clientsEnsure that service delivery is accurate, timeous and of a high standardBuild relationships that allow for the managing of expectations; the sharing of knowledge and diverse insights; and the creation of buy-inEngage in cross-functional relationships to obtain and to provide work support Deliver customer experience excellence aligned to Organisational values and service standards Build professional long-term relationships with customers based on trust that builds the brandCollect and interrogate information and feedback to ensure full understanding of customer needs to deliver a quality serviceDeliver service that exceeds customer expectations through proactive, innovative and appropriate solution selection and applicationImprove business decisions by providing accurate and reliable business intelligence (information) together with analysing trends and dataProvide regular reports on delivery of services against agreed service level agreements and in terms of overall customer targetsAccumulate information to review work progress that provides input to reporting, decision making and the identification of improvement opportunities Implement, monitor and control business processes according to quality standards; policy; and compliance and governance requirements in area of accountabilityEnsure the development, alignment, mapping and implementation of end-to-end processes aligned to the customer journey mapResearch, enable and consult on improvements and opportunities to harness technology and platform enablementReview existing processes and suggest innovative ideas to improve and streamline processes to drive efficiencies and minimise redundancyMonitor customer feedback reports and align processes to maximise efficienciesAssess own performance against competencies and skills required delivery Identify development needs and select effective solutions to address own development needPrepare a personal development plan with management to implement and review as requiredMonitor own progress against development plan and measure impact of resultsPromote teamwork and inclusivity amongst team members and demonstrates behaviours that respect diversityPartner and collaborate with team members to achieve team successShare information and knowledge that benefits the teamYou will be an ideal candidate if you : Have a minimum of a BCom Degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or relatedHave 3 - 5 years' business / commercial credit application process experience within banking / financial servicesHave strong financial and credit skillsHave understanding / knowledge of Commercial Banking Eg.
