Job summary

Old Mutual Life Assurance Company (SA) Ltd seeks an experienced data governance leader to establish and drive Credit Data Governance across critical datasets. You will build governance frameworks, standards and ownership models, aligning with regulatory and risk frameworks while enabling informed decision-making and robust reporting.

You will partner with Credit, Portfolio Management, Risk, Operations and Technology to strengthen data quality, integrity and governance maturity.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8-10 years' experience in financial services risk or data governance.
• Proven experience implementing data governance, data management or data quality frameworks.
• Postgraduate qualification advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and ongoing enhancement of the data governance framework.
• Define ownership, stewardship and accountability across the business.
• Develop data definitions, taxonomies and data dictionaries.
• Oversee data quality, monitoring, remediation and reporting.
• Partner with risk, portfolio management and technology teams for analytics.
