Job summary

A fast-growing engineering company in the material handling equipment industry is seeking a dynamic Credit and Accounting Administrator. This role involves cash collection, maintaining financial records, preparing accounting reports, and using accounting software to process transactions. The ideal candidate should have a Grade 12 qualification and relevant tertiary qualifications, along with 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role.

Qualifications

  • Matric / Grade 12 is essential.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in advanced Bookkeeping is essential.
  • 2 to 3 years' experience in a similar environment is required.

Responsibilities

  • Collect cash on time to ensure prompt customer payments.
  • Implement cash collection strategies.
  • Keep financial records updated.
  • Prepare accounting reports.
  • Reconcile accounts payables and update receivable statements.
  • Manage financial documents like invoices and VAT reports.

A fast growing Engineering company in the material handling equipment industry is looking for a dynamic Credit and Accounting Administrator

Duties & Responsibilities

On-time cash collection, ensure that customers pay on time.

  • Implementation of cash collection strategies.
  • Keeping financial records updated.
  • Preparing Accounting reports.
  • Running accounting software update (SAGE) to process business transactions.
  • Accounts payables reconciliations and receivable statements update.
  • Keeping records of financial information (Invoices, PO's, VAT reports etc.).
  • Adhoc Financial responsibilities as required by Management.
Desired Experience & Qualification
  • Matric / Grade 12 (essential).
  • Relevant tertiary qualification such as B, Btech, Diploma or certificate in advanced Bookkeeping (essential).
  • Strong PC literacy (Microsoft Excel, Outlook).
  • 2 to 3 years' experience in a similar environment.
