What you will do

The purpose of the Role is to ensure effective management, including recordkeeping, and processing of all credit applications, regardless of customer exposure.

You will be required to make timely credit decisions and recommendations on business finance transactions within delegated authority as well as involvement in various projects delivering on continuous improvement. As a Credit Analyst you will provide the highest level of customer service to dealers, customers, the Volvo Group, and (VFS) Volvo Financial Services personnel supporting the business in its ambition to be a world class asset-based finance company.

Reporting:

This position reports to the Credit Manager.

Job Objectives:
  • Review and approve business credit transactions within delegated authority.
  • Make full project assessments with the potential customers, including visit to customers (business-trips).
  • Prepare the credit application and present it on Credit Committees.
  • Perform at the highest quality levels and follow Volvo policies and procedures.
  • Interact with Dealers, Customers, Volvo Group Business Areas and VFS Sales Department, when needed, to negotiate loan & lease structuring, pricing, and collateral analysis requirements for transactions.
  • Closely cooperates with customer and Volvo employees in full & detailed data receipt concerning potential customer and project in general.
  • Follow Credit Directives, Policies and guidelines which will minimize risk, manage portfolio delinquency, and improve underwriting quality.
  • Secure accurate and timely presentation of the deals on Credit Committees.
  • Participate, when required, in review and negotiation of documentation with Customers and Departments of Volvo Group.
  • Perform special projects as required by the business and represent Credit in various committees or other cross functional meetings.
  • Responsible for deal collateral development.
  • Responsible for in-time informing of all respective interested VFS & Volvo Group Departments concerning Credit Committee’s exact decision on each & every project in control.
  • Makes the report & keeps constant record of all deals under consideration.

Qualification & Job Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree is required (economics or finance).
  • Experience in credit underwriting/analysis of more than 3 years, preferably from a commercial bank or leasing/captive asset-based finance company.
  • Good financial understanding.
  • Strong business understanding and awareness.
Key Competencies
  • Thorough understanding of the business of VFS, the Volvo Group products and the customers / dealers businesses.
  • High level of English (oral/written).
  • High communication and analytical skills.
  • Good team worker, initiative, compliance and results oriented, a self-starter.
  • Solid experience in Microsoft Office (especially MS PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
  • Clear AML, FAIS, FICA, FSP and financial screening.
