Job summary

VML South Africa invites applications for a Creative Technologist Intern based in Johannesburg. You will assist in researching emerging technologies, prototyping interactive experiences, and developing technology-driven campaigns alongside experienced technologists and creatives.

You will contribute to ideation, prototyping, testing, and documentation while collaborating closely with designers, developers, and project managers to deliver client projects.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently graduated from a Bachelor's degree in CS/SE/Interactive Media or related field.
• Strong passion for technology and its use in creative advertising.
• Familiarity with at least one programming language (eg Python, Java, C++).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive and self-motivated attitude.

Responsibilities

• Ideation & Conceptualization: contribute to innovative concepts and technical solutions.
• Prototyping & Development: assist in rapid prototypes and proof-of-concepts across technologies.
• Research & Exploration: study emerging technologies and trends in creative tech.
• Technical Support: help with troubleshooting for the creative team.
• Collaboration: work with designers, developers andPMs to deliver projects.
• Documentation: create documentation including technical specs and guides.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: assist in testing and debugging to meet standards.
• Learning & Development: actively learn new technologies.
• Presentation: assist in presenting concepts and prototypes to teams/clients.
• Assist with technical proposals: help draft technical sections and estimate effort.
