Role

Creative Artworker / Desktop Publishing Operator – Cape Town, South Africa (office presence at least 3 days per week).

Join our dynamic team as an experienced Creative Artworker / Desktop Publishing Operator, where you’ll be an integral part of the production process for one of our key global brands. You take digital, print and social content projects from brief to completion. You’ll have a keen eye for detail and the ability to adapt designs and translate supplied campaigns and brand guidelines into impactful designs.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the team to produce design/adaptation to the client's brief and exacting standards from the outset until completion, including digital, print, and social.
  • Positively influence clients with creative input.
  • Ensure consistency and quality across all design deliverables while adhering to brand guidelines and project specifications in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
  • Act as a brand guardian, applying strong knowledge of brand guidelines.
  • Communicate and present projects effectively to internal stakeholders, incorporating feedback to refine and iterate designs as needed.
  • Evaluate and monitor industry trends and brands, AI, research industry developments in branding, automation and marketing.
  • Proactively manage multiple varying‑sized projects seamlessly with strong project‑management skills.
  • Deliver final artwork and toolkits on digital and print‑based material.
Qualifications
  • Equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in design, artwork and production.
  • Solid portfolio showcasing a range of design work across various platforms with focus on print.
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and an understanding of future‑facing platforms – with a desire to embrace new software and AI‑led efficiency tools.
  • Comfortable in a fast‑paced environment with multiple delivery needs – right first time.
  • Appreciation of contemporary photography, positioning and cropping, with skill for basic retouching.
  • Solid typography, layout and technical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience working across online banners (static and animated), social media posts (primarily Instagram and Facebook).
  • Capability to create artwork for a variety of communications material to include advertising, POS, branding and marketing projects / campaigns.
  • Team player with good communication skills, who actively contributes to the team's knowledge.
  • Basic understanding of automation software and willingness to embrace them.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in Digital, Artwork, Print, Production, Automation / AI.

This is a 12‑month contract with the possibility of extension.
