Placements24 in Sandton is seeking an experienced Animator specializing in 3D and motion graphics to join our creative studio. You will bring concepts to life through character animation, motion graphics, and immersive 3D environments for advertising, digital content, and entertainment projects.

Collaborate with directors and designers to develop storyboards, animatics, and style frames, optimize assets for performance, and stay current with industry trends and software updates in a vibrant

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in animation, fine arts, or digital media.
• 3–5 years of professional 3D animation or motion graphics experience with a strong portfolio.
• Proficiency in Maya, Blender, 3ds Max, or Cinema 4D.
• Solid understanding of animation principles, rigging, texturing, lighting and rendering.
• Experience with After Effects for motion graphics.
• Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality 3D animations, character animations, and motion graphics.
• Develop storyboards, animatics, and style frames to visualize animation sequences.
• Collaborate with directors, designers, and other animators to achieve the artistic vision.
• Optimize animation assets for performance and delivery.
• Stay current with industry trends, software updates, and new techniques in 3D animation and motion graphics.
• Ensure animation work meets technical specifications and quality standards for delivery.
