Job description

We are seeking a highly organised and professional Course Co-Ordinator based in Johannesburg, Gauteng, to support the student journey and overall course experience at CWA. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth operations, effective communication, and a high standard of service for all students and stakeholders. Industry knowledge and participation in CWA courses up to Certificate Wine Course level are required.

Responsibilities Includes:
  • Ensure that the student journey is seamless, professional and engaging from first contact.
  • All incoming queries will be navigated based on the category of the query and in an efficient and effective manner. These queries include email, website and telephonic queries.
  • Timely response to all queries with an infographic on how the booking process works is sent together with the brochure for the course and follow up communication.
  • Ensure that the facilitation, invigilation and hosting of events is always executed in terms of current trends within the market and best practice standards.
  • Develop a course specific sales and marketing strategy in conjunction with the team to create an effective push and pull strategy to achieve student numbers and sales targets as budgeted.
  • Persuasive selling for all queries to guide and convince potential students and clients to book for courses. Actively advancing the sales pipeline to encourage sales.
  • Detailed segmentation by channel, client and student accompanied by strategic action plans to be implemented in targeted areas.
  • Mapping of potential clients and students and possible leads, together with an action plan of executing on this.
  • Effective relationship management is required with students and clients. Of which any queries are dealt with effectively and efficiently.
  • Ensure timely and accurate communication of relevant information to both the CWA team and external stakeholders, including clients, prospective students, and partners.
  • Effective management of all relevant incoming and acquired data, ensuring that relevant insights and learnings are drawn and put into action plans. Includes the analysis of sales-out transactional data and industry data sources revealing wine consumption trends and consumer behaviour patterns.
  • Ensure that all independent contractors are briefed, booked and have all information regarding the course.
  • Ensure that lecturers and facilitators are excellently informed in good time with all information on the course class, presentation, wines, students and venue.
  • Ensure that hosts are trained in standard execution and that their performance is monitored and assessed.
  • Continuous maintenance and improvement of course content to ensure accuracy, relevance and impact together with the CWA Principal.
  • Ensure the effective use of the LMS system for managing students and courses relevant to your role.
  • Effort shown to ensure that you are kept up to date with all the trends taking place in the liquor, and more specifically within the wine industry.
  • Participate in CWA courses with a minimum required standard of Certificate Wine Course level.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Tertiary Education: communication management, or customer relations. CWA Courses or another Wine Certification.
  • 5 years administration experience, 5 years’ experience within a customer service role, 5 years’ Sales experience.
  • Valid driver’s licence.
