The City of Ekurhuleni is seeking a reliable Messenger/Logistics Assistant on a permanent basis. The role involves delivering and collecting mail and goods, adhering to driving rules, and performing related administrative tasks.

Minimum requirements include Grade 12, a Logistics/Transportation certificate, a Code C1 driver’s licence with PrDP, and 1–2 years’ relevant experience. Salary ranges from R225 864 to R309 816 per annum with benefits.

Formación

• Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4.
• Certificate in Logistics/Transportation.
• Code C1 driving licence with PrDP.
• 1–2 years in a relevant environment.

Responsabilidades

• Receiving and delivering goods per standard procedures.
• Messenger duties to/from internal and external departments and depots.
• Collecting stock at stores and suppliers with Council vehicle.
• Transporting goods safely within area of accountability.
• Monitor driving quality to meet high standards.
• Complete own work accurately and seek improvements.
• Maintain confidentiality of all work.
• Avoid delays in delivery of documents and items.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction through effective service delivery.
