Summary
The Country Manager will oversee all aspects of the company's operations in Mozambique, reporting to the Board of Directors. The role requires a hands‑on leader with a proven track record in managing large‑scale agricultural operations, navigating complex regulatory environments, and fostering stakeholder relationships in Mozambique.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business strategy to drive growth, profitability, and market share in Mozambique’s agribusiness sector.
- Manage end‑to‑end operations, including production, supply chain, logistics, and distribution, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with local regulations.
- Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and performance monitoring to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government authorities, local communities, suppliers, and other key stakeholders.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration.
- Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, including product diversification and market penetration strategies.
- Ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety standards, promoting sustainable practices aligned with the company’s values.
- Proactively identify and mitigate operational, financial, and regulatory risks in the Mozambican market.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of senior leadership experience in agribusiness or related industries, with at least 5 years in a CEO or equivalent role.
- Proven track record of driving business growth and operational efficiency in emerging markets, preferably in Southern Africa.
- Fluency in Portuguese (written and spoken) is essential; proficiency in English is highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of Mozambique’s agricultural sector, regulatory environment, and market dynamics.
- Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets, P&L, and strategic investments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Agriculture, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
