About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Import Controller to manage and oversee all import operations. The successful candidate will ensure that goods are imported efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage all import documentation and shipping processes.
  • Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and clearing agents to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Monitor shipment progress and resolve any delays or discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with SARS customs requirements and import regulations.
  • Manage costings, shipping schedules, and landed cost calculations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all import transactions.
  • Prepare regular import status reports for management.
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 / Matric (a qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field is an advantage).
  • Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in import control or logistics coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of incoterms, customs procedures, and import documentation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
