Job summary

FNB South Africa's PoP Finance team is seeking a Cost Accountant Manager to build cost and profitability models and drive strategic decision-making through data analytics and business intelligence.

You will leverage SQL, Power BI/Tableau, and advanced modelling to deliver insights that influence budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation across Branch Banking. Strong stakeholder partnering and leadership experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
• 4-5 years in Cost Accounting or analytics role.
• Strong stakeholder management and business partnering experience.
• Experience leading projects or teams in finance/analytics environment is advantageous.
• Experience with large datasets and data interrogation for decision-making.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and enhance cost allocation and profitability models.
• Analyse large datasets using SQL to identify trends and drivers.
• Develop insights to support cost optimisation and profitability.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning.
• Translate financial insights into actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
• Partner with Finance, Analytics, Data, and Business teams to drive decisions.
• Drive automation and model governance.
