Cost Accountant Required in the FMCG Sector

Responsibilities

Perform cost analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making. Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead expenses. Prepare and maintain accurate product costing models. Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify cost‑saving opportunities and process improvements. Conduct variance analysis and investigate discrepancies. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to cost accounting. Maintain accurate records of inventory valuation and reconciliation. Prepare and present financial reports to management.

Requirements

Bachelor of Commerce (B Com) degree in accounting, finance. Proven experience as a Cost Accountant or similar role. Proficiency in using ERP systems, preferably (insert specific ERP system if applicable). Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including V Lookup functions. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Only SA Citizens will be considered.
