A leading consulting firm is seeking a Cost and Management Accountant in Gauteng. The role involves overseeing inventory operations, developing costing models, and administering ERP systems. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CIMA accreditation, and over 5 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong analytical skills are required. The position offers competitive remuneration including a CTC and bonus structure.
TOP CO IS LOOKING FOR COST + MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT / MANUFACTURING AND ERP SYSTEMS WITH FOCUS ON INVENTORY MANAGEMENT.
Inventory Management and Costing: Oversee and manage daily inventory operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Develop and implement costing models for products, taking into account material, labor, and overhead costs. Analyze and maintain accurate inventory records, highlighting trends or discrepancies. Collaborate with the operations team to conduct regular stock counts and reconciliations. Evaluate inventory turnover and recommend strategies to optimize stock levels. Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities, especially as they pertain to inventory and cost of goods sold. ERP System Administration: Serve as the primary point of contact for the ERP system, ensuring its optimal performance and utilization. Train and support internal users, enhancing their proficiency and addressing any system-related queries. Collaborate with IT to ensure the ERP system is aligned with business needs, and implement upgrades or modifications as required. Monitor data integrity within the ERP system, performing regular backups and reconciliations. Stay updated on latest ERP trends, functionalities, and best practices to ensure the organization benefits from relevant updates. Reporting & Analysis: Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory and cost reports for senior management. Analyze variances between actuals and forecasts, providing insights into potential areas of improvement. Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards. Recommend and implement improvements in inventory and costing processes to drive efficiencies and accuracy. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process integration or automation, especially within the ERP system.
