Cost Accountant Luxury Wine Estate Franschhoek

Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join a luxury wine estate based in Franschhoek. This role requires a financially astute professional with strong analytical abilities and proven experience in cost and management accounting.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage product costing and tooling inventory reporting, ensuring accuracy and variance analysis.
  • Prepare cost estimates and quotes for new products, customer requirements, and product changes.
  • Maintain and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) as required.
  • Assist with stock counts and related reconciliations.
  • Load cost estimates and quotes into relevant systems.
  • Support the preparation of reconciliations and schedules.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for both existing and new product costings.
  • Oversee inventory management and product record-keeping.
  • Provide audit information on a continuous basis.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in cost and management accounting, including analysis and reporting.
  • A BCom degree or equivalent qualification (CIMA studies advantageous).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience in ERP systems and BOM management.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence software beneficial.
  • Previous experience in FMCG or a production environment preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • High level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
