CAREER OPPORTUNITY – COST ACCOUNTANT – AGX INTERNATIONAL LOGISTICS. AGX International Logistics, a dynamic and fast-growing logistics management company that specialises in providing freight forwarding and import and export logistics services currently has an exciting career opportunity for a Cost Accountant. Reporting to the Financial Manager, you will be based at our Paarl (Western Cape) offices.

Education & Experience
  • Minimum requirement B. Com, B. Com Accounting, B. Com Management Accounting or similar degree
  • Work experience in relevant positions and industries will be beneficial
  • Experience working with the Xero Accounting Software will be beneficial
Functions of the Cost Accountant
  • Capturing and maintenance of service provider rate sheets on a central database
  • Liaising with customers and preparation of quotes for freight forwarding and logistics service quotes
  • Working closely with the Commercial Manager to ensure that quotes are in line with profit margin expectations
  • Invoicing of customers for logistics services
  • Reconciliation between quotes and invoices
  • Assisting the Financial Manager with the preparation of management accounts
