Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a talented and creative Copywriter to join a leading luxury property group based in Johannesburg. This role is ideal for a passionate storyteller with a flair for crafting engaging, brand-aligned content across multiple platforms within the luxury travel and hospitality sector.
Key Responsibilities
Copywriting and Content Creation
- Develop compelling and persuasive copy for brochures, sales materials, email campaigns, and digital marketing content.
- Write engaging scripts for webinars, video content, and presentations.
- Create SEO‑optimised website copy that effectively drives engagement and conversions.
- Produce sales enablement materials and tailor content for different audience segments across multiple luxury properties.
- Edit and proofread all materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with brand standards.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and competitor activities to inform fresh and relevant content ideas.
- Collaborate with design, digital, and social media teams to produce cohesive and impactful communications.
Digital Writing and Brand Consistency
- Write for digital platforms including websites, YouTube, and email marketing.
- Create compelling titles, descriptions, and long‑form digital content optimised for search visibility and engagement.
- Maintain the brand’s tone of voice – warm, authentic, bold, and distinctly South African.
- Adapt messaging based on analytics insights while ensuring consistency in tone and style.
Collaboration and Deadline Management
- Work closely with marketing teams to support brand campaigns and launches.
- Manage multiple writing assignments simultaneously in a fast‑paced, high‑performance environment.
- Proactively identify content opportunities and contribute creative ideas to elevate the brand’s storytelling.
- Deliver high‑quality work under pressure with exceptional attention to detail.
Requirements and Skills
Essential Experience
- 5–7 years’ professional copywriting experience within the hospitality or luxury travel industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- Strong portfolio showcasing brochure copy, digital content, and sales materials.
- Excellent understanding of SEO principles and digital marketing best practices.
- Experience writing across various formats including web, social media, and video content.
Technical Skills
- Exceptional command of written English with flawless grammar and attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of Google Analytics and content performance tracking.
- Understanding of platform‑specific writing requirements and digital engagement strategies.
