Position Overview

As the COO, you will be the driving force behind our operations in the West Rand of Johannesburg. Your mission is to lead, strategize, and innovate our efforts to provide top-tier transportation and logistics services, with a specific emphasis on trailer manufacturing and truck sales. Key Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership : Lead, inspire, and manage our operational teams to ensure the seamless and efficient functioning of our daily operations.
• Strategic Direction : Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute operational strategies in line with the company's growth and financial objectives.
• Resource Allocation : Oversee the effective allocation of resources, including personnel, vehicles, and equipment, to meet operational goals and maintain cost-effectiveness.
• Quality Assurance : Ensure that our trailer manufacturing and truck sales operations meet the highest standards of quality and customer expectations. Implement quality control measures and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Budget Management : Develop and manage operational budgets, closely monitor financial performance, and implement cost control measures.
• Logistics and Distribution : Lead our logistics and distribution teams to optimize transportation routes, warehouse operations, and inventory management, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of commodities.
• Compliance and Safety : Maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations, industry standards, and environmental sustainability. Implement safety measures to protect our workforce, assets, and the environment.
• Data-Driven Decision Making : Utilize data analytics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor operational performance, identify trends, and make informed, data-driven decisions.

Minimum Requirements

• Proven leadership experience in the transportation and logistics industry, with a focus on trailer manufacturing and truck sales.
• Strong background in operations management and process optimization.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
• a min of 10 years experience as a COO in a similar industry is essential
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Logistics or a related field is required. A CA(SA) or master's degree in a related discipline is advantageous.
