Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Admitted Attorney and Conveyancer in South Africa (Notary qualification advantageous)
  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years post-admission experience in conveyancing
  • Client Base: Must have an established and active client base
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong technical knowledge of conveyancing and property law
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload with attention to detail
  • Client-centric, professional, and results-driven
  • Proven ability to generate and sustain business
  • Other Requirements: Must be able to work independently and as part of a team; strong problem-solving and negotiation skills

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Handle the full spectrum of conveyancing matters, including property transfers, mortgage bonds, cancellations, and related transactions
  • Draft, review, and manage conveyancing documentation in compliance with legal requirements
  • Liaise with clients, estate agents, banks, and other stakeholders throughout the conveyancing process
  • Manage client relationships and build on an existing client base to contribute to firm growth
  • Ensure all matters are managed efficiently, within deadlines, and in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Provide mentorship and support to junior team members, if required
  • Family law experience advantageous
