Controller : Inventory
Job Purpose :

To ensure that all procedures pertaining to all functions within the Inventory department are carried out with the utmost professionalism.

Ensuring all financial functions within the site are carried out and the client is billed correctly.

To plan, co-ordinate, manage and report upon the work activities of the inventory team, providing effective communication, leadership, motivation, training & development.

Responsibility for maintaining and managing inventory integrity.

To manage and control the returns process to agreed levels of performance and to contribute to the continuous improvement of the process.

To manage Bubble and offsite stock.

Service delivery is to be on time and expedited accurately, whilst ensuring losses to the company are kept to a minimum.

To continuously strive to improve the physical inventory process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consistently achieve established key performance indicators for productivity, accuracy and housekeeping.
  • To work within any operating areas as determined by the management and needs of the business.

  • Assist with the induction and training of stock control assistants as and when necessary.
  • Complying with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform regular cycle counts in accordance with agreed schedules to ensure KPI's are met.
  • Perform unplanned cycle counts in response to warehouse stock integrity issues such as stock discrepancies and pick shortages.
  • Carry out detailed stock investigations when requested, adjust and report.
  • Investigate and rectify any issues created by replenishment synchronization.
  • Perform regular audits of key processes including Receiving, Put Away, Pick & Dispatch according to agreed schedules and report.
  • Monitor non-allocable stock and report issues.
  • Relocate stock and required to maintain both store friendly picking and optimum slot utilization.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems effectively to support the above tasks.
  • Filing all documentation generated because of the above.
  • Respond to product holds when required.
  • Ensure all equipment used during daily duties is handled correctly and to report any defects to the Section Manager.
  • When conducting duties, follow standard operating procedures and safe working practices.
  • Perform administration tasks according to standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure compliance to BRC Requirements.
