Overview

Brinks South Africa is recruiting for a Control Room Operator.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate all equipment and cameras and comply with the security and operational control room procedures at all times.
• Monitor view‑screens effectively and take any remedial or immediate action and notification as appropriate to events seen.
• Communicate between other departments and branches in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
• Record all events and actions taken in a clear, legible and accurate written format, and record these onto any other media as required.
• Produce and maintain continuity of all detailed records or evidential material required in a clear, legible and accurate format, including tape‑management records.
• Maintain person integrity and confidentiality of all information obtained within the control room, whether written, verbal or by any other means.
• Ensure all equipment is functioning correctly, carry out equipment checks as required and inform immediately all required personnel of any faults found.
• Ensure the security of the control room and all equipment is always maintained satisfactorily, including access control of all visitors to the control room.
