Job summary

A security services firm in Cape Town is seeking qualified Grade A Control Room Operators. Candidates must possess matric/Grade 12 and a valid PSIRA Grade A. Responsibilities include managing CCTV and alarm systems and providing security services. Strong communication in English and Afrikaans is essential. The position is full-time and in person.

Xone Integrated Security is urgently seeking to employ qualified and skilled Grade A Control Room Operators for the Airport City Area, WC. Candidates must meet the following requirements:

Key Requirements & Skills

• Matric / Grade 12 Equivalent
• Valid PSIRA Grade A
• Proficient communication in English and Afrikaans (verbal and written)
• Administrative level in MS Outlook, Word, Excel
• CCTV surveillance, data capturing, radio control and alarm monitoring required. Systems training: experience in operating alarm monitoring software, Cathexis CCTV, Bosch Video Management, CiiMs or GV Chase.
• Strong character, able to make decisions with minimum input from management
• Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, customer service orientation
• Attention to detail with responsible and accountable approach to instructions, procedures and policies
• Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations and provide protection services to individuals on campus
• Skill in performing building security and lock procedures
• Knowledge of public security codes, policies and regulations
• Willingness to work night shift only

PROVEN EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience working at a Higher Institute would be advantageous
• Minimum 2 years in a senior or supervisory role, preferably in a control room
• 2 years’ experience in a control room that manages and responds to CCTV and alarms
