The role involves mentoring a Junior R&D Engineer and requires in-depth knowledge of Siemens PLC programming and a background in instrumentation. Qualifications

• Eng Instrumentation / PLC background.
• 2-3 years in C&I engineering, Automation engineering, or SCADA engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute engineering aspects of assigned projects—60% design, program, and implement PLC systems across all projects.
• Develop and integrate control systems for PV, BESS, and micro-grid plants.
• Conduct system assessments and prepare engineering studies and design documentation for new and existing systems.
• Configure control systems in line with designed plant operations and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate closely with project teams to align control system design with project objectives and technical constraints.
• Train and mentor a Junior R&D Engineer, providing technical guidance and knowledge.

Skills

In-depth knowledge of Siemens programming with Siemens S7 PLCs using Siemens TIA portal

Proficient in Siemens SCL text-based programming language

Understanding of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus / Modbus TCP / IP

Network design and implementation knowledge

Understanding of 3-phase power systems

Prior experience implementing PI controllers

Education

B.Eng. in Electric and Electronic, B.Eng. in Electronic, or B.Sc.
