Your efforts will focus on optimising contract utilization, identifying cost‑saving opportunities, and enhancing contract management performance. In this role, you will ensure compliance with the Mining Charter and B-BBEE standards, while supporting the financial management of contracts. Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree (Essential/Minimum)
  • Certificate in First Line Management (Essential/Minimum)
  • 3-5 years of relevant supply chain experience, including procurement and contract management (Essential/Minimum)
  • Proficiency in MS Office and various databases and contract management systems (Essential/Minimum)
  • Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning and/or cloud-based procurement solutions such as SAP or Coupa
  • Psychometric Assessment (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)
  • Certificate of Fitness (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)
  • Competence in using MS Office Relevant Package (Essential/Minimum)
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage the end‑to‑end contract life cycle, including negotiation, conclusion, and administration, to ensure timely and efficient contract execution.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop sourcing strategies and ensure compliance with category strategies and governance requirements.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and system enhancements to optimise contract management performance and drive cost savings.
  • Support compliance with regulatory and governance requirements, such as the Mining Charter and B-BBEE, through active monitoring and reporting.
  • Engage with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve contractual matters, manage supplier relationships, and develop Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • Compile and manage Request for Quotation (RFQ), Request for Proposal (RFP), and Request for Information (RFI) documentation, collaborating with technical and commercial specialists.
  • Ensure safekeeping and retention of contractual documentation in accordance with Group standards and policies.
  • Develop and maintain key supplier agreements, focusing on efficiency gains and identifying opportunities for cost savings through market testing and product substitution.
  • Provide effective advice on contract/agreement entitlements, obligations, methods, and quantities to the wider organization.
  • Contribute to supplier development, including Local Economic Development, and actively participate in organization planning for procurement activities.
