Qualifications

• 8+ years' experience in roads/construction project management and contract management.
• Experience with emergency repair projects and national roads an advantage.
• Professional registration or certification related to civil engineering or project management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee road construction and maintenance projects from initiation to completion.
• Ensure contracts are delivered safely, efficiently, within specification, on time and within budget.
• Provide strong leadership and manage project teams.

Job description

VEA Road Maintenance & Civils is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our team for the Emergency Repair of various slip and embankment failures on National Roads R37 and R40 in the Mpumalanga Province.

This is a senior, hands-on role for an experienced roads professional with a strong background in routine road maintenance, construction project management and contract management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing road construction and maintenance projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring that contracts are delivered safely, efficiently, within specification, on time and within budget.

The role requires a strong combination of technical expertise, leadership ability, commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills.

• Registered with SACPCMP as PrCM or with ECSA as PrEng, PrTechEng or PrTechni
• A minimum of 8 years' experience, preferably including SANRAL
