SAPREF is seeking IV Process Technician(s) on a fixed-term contract to support Island View Terminal operations in Durban, KZN. Roles are 3–6 months, with rolling applications and no fixed closing date.

Responsibilities include safe operation,Maintenance coordination, and incident response within the terminal environment. Experience in petrochemical operations and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Certified Operator or Process Technician
• 4-8 years’ experience in a petrochemical operations environment
• Must have driver’s license
• Tank farm, shipping or oil movement experience will be advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Maintain equipment in assigned area and perform basic care checks; raise maintenance requests.
• Ensure safe operation and compliance with environmental/quality requirements.
• Audit permits and coordinate with maintenance, project and other teams.
• Prepare equipment for maintenance and re-commission after work; perform isolations per LOTO.
• Conduct detailed shift handovers and maintain good housekeeping.
• Respond to emergencies, raise alarms and assist in shutdowns as needed.
